Demon Elevator
A downloadable game
Demon Elevator
Background: An unopened gate of demons has appeared on the top floor of a shopping mall. Novice exorcist Adam arrives to destroy the gate. Overconfident, Adam chooses to enter the elevator instead of taking the safe stairs, unaware that the gate has already cracked open. A group of weak demons watches Adam through surveillance, plotting to drain his magical power using the elevator.
Duration: (Number of Players) N* 70s
Recommended number of players: 4-7 (single exorcist version)
Relevant Elements: Elevator environment, elevator power, elevator floors, surveillance.
Highlights of the game: Calculation + Memory = Brainstorm
Set Up:
1.Elevator x1 (can be represented in any form)
2.Elevator display screen x1 (use a phone calculator as a substitute)
3.Scene objects inside the elevator (customized based on difficulty)
4.Timer: Represents the time for the elevator to ascend (can be replaced with a phone timer)
Rules Introduction ( N players, 7 players in this game ) :
Top floor: N^2+N
Camp 1: Novice Exorcist Adam (1 player) : Reach the top floor (N^2+N) in the Nth round or kill all demons.
= Initial magic power per round: 8 (N+1)
= As an unskilled exorcist, needs to close his eyes and use magic to make the elevator ascend. Can only increase the elevator's ascent by the value of his magic power in one round.
Camp 2: demons (N-1 players): Prevent Adam from reaching the top floor and avoid being completely killed.
= They are weak, can only hide within the scene objects in the elevator to affect Adam's magic power.
= Scene objects undergo changes (position/color/shape) when demons enter them.
Game Process:
Novice tutorial round: demons set up initial scenes + demonstrate the rules (1 minute), followed by Adam entering the elevator on the 1st floor.
Round flow:
1. Adam observes for approximately 20 seconds before the round begins, and the timer starts.
2.Adam casts spells for 30 seconds (eyes closed for 30 seconds):
= During this time, demons decide whether to enter the scene objects (30 seconds).
= For each demon that enters, Adam's magic power decreases by 1 (in this round).
3.Adam checks (eyes open for 40 seconds):
= Using the display screen to calculate the number of demons, Adam starts checking them. If correct, his magic power increases by 1 for the next round.
= Incorrect guesses decrease his magic power by 1 for the next round (correct guesses allow him to continue checking) and he observes the new scene.
4.Round ends (total duration: 70 seconds)
5.After 7 rounds, the elevator game is played once more, and it ends (each surviving demon decreases Adam's magic power by 1).
Game Outcome:
(If all demons are killed, the remaining rounds are settled)
Adam's final score is determined by the remaining magic power:
= Reaching the top floor (7^2+7=56 floors) with Adam narrowly wins.*
= Reaching the top floor with Adam having 4 magic power or more: Adam wins.**
= Reaching the top floor with Adam having 6 magic power or more: Adam achieves a complete victory.***
Tip:
= Adam has a total of 8 (N rounds + 1) * 8 (N+1) = 64 magic power
= If there is no god, the demons and audiences are responsible for calculating the floor numbered displayed on the screen and making modifications before Adam opens his eyes.
Exorcist Adam
Important Information:
1.Initial elevator floor: 1st floor
2.Initial magic power per round: 8
【Check】: Select a scene object as a whole and attempt to kill demons within it. If any demons are present (including everything on them), kill them, increase magic power for the next round, and continue checking. If no demons are present, check is not possible in the current round, and magic power decreases by 1 for the next round.
Tips:
= While checking, remember the new scene. Demons that survive will regain their freedom in the next round (changes to scene objects remain).
= Use the display screen to preliminarily determine the number of demons (demons cannot choose the display screen to enter).
= Possible scene object changes caused by demons:
rotation (over 90 degrees) / displacement (over 2 cm) / deformation.
Victory Conditions:
kill all demons or reach the 56th floor after 7 rounds with higher remaining magic power to prove your strength.

5.After 7 rounds, the elevator game is played once more, and it ends (each surviving demon decreases Adam's magic power by 1)(7 rounds in total, lasting 490 seconds)
Demons
Game Process:

Round flow:
1.Adam observes for approximately 20 seconds before the round begins, and the timer starts.

4.Round ends (total duration: 70 seconds)
5.After 7 rounds, the elevator game is played once more, and it ends (each surviving demon decreases Adam's magic power by 1)(7 rounds in total, lasting 490 seconds)
Tips:
1.You only have one life, and dying means exiting the game.
2.Entering a scene object requires altering it, such as rotating it (at least 90 degrees), displacing it (at least 2cm), or modifying its shape (adding/removing things from the scene object). Multiple people can enter the same scene object, but two changes must occur simultaneously. For example, rotating 90 degrees and displacing by 2cm.
3.If you want to exchange scene objects with others, make sure you remember which one you entered.
4.Notify everyone immediately when you die so that magic power can be calculated.
5.You can enter objects within the scene object, but during Adam's check phase, they will be considered as a whole. If the scene object is killed, you will also die.
6.Each surviving demon needs to decide whether to enter a scene object in each round. 7.They can choose not to enter and do not need to restore the previous round's scene.
8.Hide as quickly as possible to determine the correct floor before Adam opens his eyes.
9.Try not to die entirely, as Adam will score higher in victory.
Objective: Enter as many scene objects as possible to influence Adam without being discovered.
